Themed Weddings!

I really like a theme wedding. They can really be a blast. I just went to one of the best weddings and receptions I’ve ever attended. The ceremony and reception was done in country western.
The ceremony took place in a small country church. The church was beautifully decorated with satin ribbon and bows, flowers and candles. With the flowered hair pieces and the lovely baby blue dresses the bridesmaids and flower girl looked spectacular. The tuxes with the white boutonnieres in the lapels made the groomsmen and the little ring boy looked quite handsome. But the real attraction was the beautiful bride and her elegant groom. They were a picure perfect couple. After the ceremony the bride and groom left the church in a horse drawn buggy.
Since they chose a ranch to buy as their first home, they thought that would be the perfect place to hold the reception. It was a lovely home with a couple of acres and a barn for their horses they planned on having. I would have loved to have started my married life out in a place like this.
She did a fantastic job arranging her reception. It was absolutely perfect. All the tables had red and white checkered table cloths, with little metal buckets of wildflowers in them. From the country décor to the themed weddings, everything was perfection. White christmas lights mixed in with a few lanterns completely encircled the picnic tables. There were bales of hay stacked here and there with corn stalks on the barn doors. They made sure there were plenty of things the kids would enjoy as well as the adults. My husband and I did a little dancing while some played horse shoes or gave apple bobbing a try. Everyone was having the time of their lives.
Their country western wedding cake topper was very comical and the cake itself was a masterpiece of confection. It was the perfect themed cake topper. They even had country themed champagne flutes for the bridal toast. And she made place card holders out of these little cowboy hats. That was such a unique idea.
There was plenty of delicious foods for everyone at the party. They grilled hot dogs and hamburgers, mostly for the kids, and steaks, ribs, and chicken for the adults, with choice of salads and vegetables. It was one heck of a cookout. It was a great reception, plenty to eat, great tunes to dance to and games to keep the kids happy for hours. The country western theme was a blast.
A beach themed reception is another great party to go to. The beauty of a beach wedding is just amazing. It’s so romantic with the sunset above the ocean. With the feel of warm breezes and the sounds of the water, you can feel the romance in the air. If I ever get married, I think this is the type of ceremony and reception I would want to have.
The bridesmaids wore gorgeous summer dresses and the groomsmen wore drawstring pants and linen shirts. Her gorgeous crepe bridal dress was as blue as the ocean waters, and his white linen attire made him even more handsome than he already was. This was definitely a dream come true wedding ceremony.
The reception was something special too. The reception tables were decorated with gorgeous beach themed accessories. The centerpieces were little trays filled with sand and two large pillar candles with seashells, starfish and orchids all around them. Each and every guest had adorable little seashell place card holders, and champagne glasses with beach themed decorations on the stems.
Her beach décor was fabulous and she had everything from a beach cake topper to theme wedding cakes that worked perfectly. This was truly a wedding and reception to remember.

Finding the right summer wedding ideas!

It was a lot easier than I thought it would be to plan my outside wedding and reception. In fact, it didn’t cost as much as an indoor wedding would have cost us. Having the natural beauty of the outdoors saved us a lot of money on decorations. The first thing on my agenda was to find that perfect place to hold our summer wedding and reception party. I thought about a super beach wedding and reception, or maybe have it in a gorgeous garden, but I decided to have our ceremony and reception in the park. I found several perfect parks that would work fine for our wedding day.

Since I never planned a wedding like this before, I needed all the help I could get. I found out you need to have a plan B, in case inclement weather unexpectly arises. A tent was suggested just in case the weather turns out badly.

We had canopies arranged for our reception and barring bad weather, planned to be wed under a lovely trellis. The only real decorations I needed were those for my wedding table and the guests reception tables. With the beautiful background of the park as our main décor, all I really needed besides table settings were a few extra flowers here and there. By using artificial flowers I thought we may be able to avoid any univited guests, like bees. You couldn’t tell they were artificial they were so beautiful,they looked like the real deal. Although planning wasn’t as difficult a chore as I thought, there were quite a few things to take care of. There are some spectacular summer wedding themes, but the sun can turn your beautiful wedding cake into a gooey pool of confection.

As far as table décor, I found so many fantastic accessories for our reception. Each of our guest had a park bench place card holder and the centerpieces were flowers arranged around a glass globe with citronella votive candles inside. I found very decorative favor boxes and used them to package the chrome bottle openers we bought for our friends and family as a summer wedding theme. For our wedding table, of course, was our fabulous wedding cake with a very unique wedding cake topper.

While shopping for my wedding accessories I saw this topper and couldn’t resist it. They were especially customized for the bride and groom. After I sent them a head shot of my fiance and myself they made our bride and groom topper to look exactly like us. What a wonderful momento of our wedding day. Our friends and family were really loved the cake topper and gave us a lot of compliments on it. Our crystal champagne flutes and silver cake serving set was just a few of the fantastic accessories I ordered for our ceremony and reception. It’s unbelievable all the lovely accessories you can purchase from you computer.

Everything at the wedding and reception were fantastic. Thank goodness the weather stayed perfect throughout the entire ceremony and reception and we never had to put plan B into action. The DJ we hired was really exceptional and I’m sure that the music played on long after my new husband and I left for our honeymoon. A lot of good things were said about our wedding ceremony and everyone said they had a fantastic time at the reception. The park turned out to be the perfect place to have our wedding and reception. If we should decide somewhere down the line to have a renewal wedding ceremony, I think I’d like to have it in the park again.

Choosing the Right the wedding album!

I started shopping for my themed accessories and supplies as soon as we were sure we were having a beach wedding. The first thing to get was the invitations for our beach themed wedding. One thing I discovered was to be sure you always buy extra invitations, just in case you make a mistake and have yourself a do over, like I did. With the invitations all done and on their way to our prospective guests, I could move on to picking out the beach wedding dress I wanted for our ceremony. There were so many options for beach wedding dresses and gowns, that it was a tough decision to make. I was unsure about the two full length wedding gowns I found, I didn’t want to be uncomfortable at my beach wedding. I found a beautiful beaded knee length dress made of light weight materials of satin and lace, with spaghetti straps for my wedding.

Linen beach dresses with a crocheted halter covering was what I chose for my bridesmaids. My handsome groom wore a sky blue linen shirt and white linen pants and his groomsmen wore white linen shirts with sand colored linen pants. The little sundress our flower girl wore looked so adorable on her and our ring boy looked so cute in his little khaki shorts and white shirt. All of the wedding party looked great in their wedding attire and the flower arrangements for our bouquets were the most gorgeous I’ve ever seen.

With all the pictures I wanted taken of our wedding ceremony and reception, maybe I should have bought two wedding albums. I want pictures of everything and everyone at our wedding, all the gorgeous decorations, and our lovely reception. I was sure to let the photographer know I wanted plenty of photos of our vow exchange under our satin canopy and lovely flowered arch. Directly after the ceremony we left to change into more suitable beach wear for the reception party. Some of the bridesmaids and groomsmen wore their swim wear under their wedding clothes, and some went home to change. I wrote on all the invitations to dress in casual clothing for this wedding.

Our reception was such a big success, and everyone complimented us on our gorgeous wedding accessories and how lovely all of our tables were. The place I shopped not only had the beach wedding album I wanted, but so many more accessories to go with it. I found the cutest little beach chairs as place card holders that they can use for their favorite little photo later. I really liked them and I’m sure our guests did too. I also found the perfect beach wedding favors for our friends and family. I chose adorable tea lights that looked just like sand castles to remind them of our beach party. I found everything we needed, as far as accessories and decorations, for our wedding table and our guests reception tables. They had the perfect crystal stemware, serving set for the wedding cake, wine glasses and a gorgeous beach themed cake topper.

A lot of our friends and family made comments about out lovely reception décor. I added some tiki torches everywhere and put gel candles on all of our guests wedding reception tables to help add a touch of atmosphere to everything. With all the accessories and supplies for the wedding and beach party reception, it made planning so much easier. Everything was like a dream come true, with the beautiful ocean waves and the warm summer sands as our wedding chapel and reception location.

The Perfect Wedding Photo Album!

I was unsure about the two full length wedding gowns I found, I didn’t want to be uncomfortable at my beach wedding. My bridesmaids looked so lovely in their haltered beach dresses of cool linen with a crocheted bodice. All the groomsmen wore linen white shirts and sand colored pants and my husband, to be looked so handsome in his blue linen shirt and white pants. The little sundress our flower girl wore looked so adorable on her and our ring boy looked so cute in his little khaki shorts and white shirt. I found the most lovely flower bouquets for the bridesmaids and myself, and the entire wedding party looked absolutely perfect.

I wish now,with all the photos of our wedding being taken, that I would have bought two wedding albums, instead of only one. I want pictures of everything and everyone at our wedding, all the gorgeous decorations, and our lovely reception. It couldn’t have been a more perfect dream wedding and reception, with the gorgeous ocean as our background and the warm sand under our feet.
