Wedding day preparations are always an exhilarating experience, but the number of choices for the décor, gifts, and so on also makes it a somewhat frantic one. When my daughter was going to be a bride, the most difficult part of helping her out was getting her to decide on something. The initial decision was just the overall genre of the wedding: something old-fashioned, or a trendier style of ceremony. She studied every possible variety that we could think of, and she just ended up getting more and more confused. She’s excited about having some extra money for the honeymoon since she found such good bargains on most of the things she bought for the wedding.
It was a beautiful wedding, and the reception looked fantastic. My daughter and her new husband looked so wonderful as they danced their first dance as man and wife. I think my feet are still sore from tearing up the dance floor, but I’ll never foget what a magical night that was, and it was worth every second. With my daughter married, she may have a baby girl at some point in their lives. When we have her baby shower, I will go right back to the same place to find baby shower favors and supplies.
