A Charming Wedding Memory Book!

Filed under: wedding articles — Algy @ 3:17 am

We go through a lot of days that we’d like to remember forever in our lifetimes. There is your bridal shower, wedding day, baby showers and so many more ocassions you want to hang on to the memories of. I keep these memories alive with my memory books, which are some of my most treasured possessions. I have my girls night out photo memory book from the night my sister and my friends threw me a fantastic wedding shower. I’ve got so many great pics of that very special night I shared with my friends. I’ve got pictures of the lovely decorations they had for my party and all the places we went that night, and all the fun things we did. We really had a wild time and I’ve got super photos to prove it. We went to a spot where there were male dancers and snapped a few photos there. They didn’t have any trouble holding our attention. I won’t soon forget my only night watching men dance like that. They may not be as famous as the Chippendale dancers, but these were more than entertaining, that’s for sure.
When I chose all the accessories and reception supplies for our wedding, I also made sure I had a memory book for our photos of the wedding and reception. We had no shortage of pictures to put in it. In fact I knew to buy a couple of them, so I’d have enough space for all the pictures. Even after filling our wedding photo album with pictures there were still many photos left to find places for. On certain pages in one of the picture album books were places for the guests we invited to write their names down. They were both lovely personalized memory books with my first initial on the left, the initial of our last name, and on the right my husbands first initial. The fabric on the book is very pretty, and with that and the satin ribbon on them, they really are quite charming. Fortunately, you can add pages to them if you have to, which of course we did.
I made sure that I had books to hold all my memories of every important event in my life so far. The number of keepsake memory books I have will only go up since I hang on to them all. Baby shower books, a wedding book, and the one from that bachelorette party are the ones that I have currently. My boy is one year old and my daughter’s about to turn three. My son has a blue book and my daughter has a pink one; we got the right colors because we found out what they’d be before they were born. I keep everything from their christenings to their first steps in these books. We have fingerprints, birth certificates, and regular pictures of them in the baby memory books. I slipped an official invitation from the showers and wedding in each album as well. I have so many memories stored in our closet that I could probably start my own picture gallery.
I intend to keep the memories of those wonderful days alive for the rest of my life, and I plan on keeping my memory books in the closet, no matter how much my husband keeps complaining. With the new video camera I just bought, it’s going to be a little different, because now I have to clear room on some shelves in the den for the videos I’ll be making. With all the videos I plan to record and all the picture albums and memory books I’ve acquired, not to mention all that I intend to aquire, I’ll probably have to make more room in other closets around the house. What can I say, my recollections of the past mean a lot to me. These years ahead are really important to a mom and I don’t want to miss out on one minute of it.
